Mr. Phelps has broad domestic and international business experience in operations, finance, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. After serving as Vice President of Business Planning and Corporate Development at Sequa Corporation, he became the Chief Executive Officer of one of their subsidiaries, Chromalloy AeroService International, Ltd. He has also served as: Chief Financial Officer of CPS, Inc.; Vice President of International Operations for Conseco Corporation; Chief Operating Officer of Missouri Steel Casting, Inc.; and President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. Mr. Phelps has also been an independent consultant, assisting small and mid-sized companies in turnaround management, securing financing, and mergers and acquisitions.
During his career, Mr. Phelps has been involved in over $200 million of asset purchase and/or equity transactions. He has worked in all aspects of deal making, including business analysis and preparation of offering documents, business valuation, negotiation of letters of intent and sale/purchase agreements, and due diligence investigations.
Mr. Phelps has a BSBA from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Southern Illinois University.
